Shadow Stories from Around the World

Suitable for: Ages 3+, Families | Duration: 40 minutes

Step into a world of light and imagination. This lively shadow puppetry show weaves together traditional tales from across the globe — including Korean folktales The Tiger and the Toad and The Honest Woodcutter, and the Italian folktale The Girl and the North Wind — alongside playful, interactive retellings of familiar favourites.

A joyful, family-friendly celebration of stories from many cultures.

The Korean folktales featured in this show were adapted by Kay and turned into picture books, written in 2021 to celebrate 60 years of Australia-Korea friendship. The books were read aloud by Emma and Simon Wiggle for the Korean Cultural Centre Australia — watch the video below!
